Good to know

Dumpster rental questions, answered

Do you rent out the dumpsters yourselves?

No — Dumpsters Rental is a marketplace, not a bin company. We don’t own dumpsters; we connect you with a local operator who does, so you skip calling around.

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster in Canada?

It depends on the size, where you are, the type of waste, the included weight allowance and how long you keep it. Each location page shows an indicative price range to budget from — request a quote for a firm price on your exact job.

What size dumpster do I need?

A 4–10-yard bin suits a garage or single-room cleanout, 14 yards a medium renovation or whole-house declutter, and 20 yards or larger bigger renovations, roofing and construction. Our size guide and local operators can help you avoid paying for space you don’t need.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster?

Not if it sits on your own driveway or property. If the bin has to go on the road, sidewalk or boulevard, most municipalities require a permit first (in Toronto, a Street Occupation Permit) — the operator can usually advise on this.

Is it free to get a quote?

Yes. Requesting a quote through us is free and there’s no obligation to book.
